Bill’s Retirement Celebration
On Sunday, July 3, we will have a celebration service for the 34 years of faithful service that Bill and Vi Goodrich have poured into the lives of all of us at Horizon and the surrounding community.
On July 4, Jordan McGaughey will become the head pastor at Horizon.
Below are relevant annoucements and details about the service.
Service Time & Space Reminder
Service will be at 10:00. We anticipate using our overflow capabilities in Fellowship Hall and Cafeteria. We will be producing audio and video for the full service in each overflow location, and livestreaming as well.
Parking Request
We anticipate a crowd of all kinds of people. If you and your family are able to easily make the walk, please consider parking on South Campus (by the pool) and walking to the North Building so that those who cannot make the walk have room in the main parking lot!
Childcare
Childcare will be extremely limited this Sunday. So many of the faithful people who have been involved in Children’s Ministry over the years have also been impacted by Bill & Vi and we want them to be able to in the service. We request families with young children consider sitting in the Fellowship Hall or Cafeteria.
Lunch following the service
A catered lunch will follow. Feel free to bring outdoor chairs/blanket if you would like to picnic outside; we will also have seating indoors. Children under 12 will be provided a hotdog meal.
The Horizon Keepsake Book
As part of the celebration of Bill & Vi’s ministry, we are inviting anyone and everyone to:
SUBMIT A PAGE TO THE HORIZON KEEPSAKE BOOK!
Write or type a letter sharing testimony on how God has used or blessed your life/lives through Bill & Vi, including a picture of your family if you can. Each family letter and picture needs to fit on one 8.5 X 11 page. We will compile them all and make a keepsake book from all of us to give to Bill & Vi. Deadline is July 10.
