Community Partnerships
We seek to be good citizens and members of our community in accordance with the commands and plan of God, praying that people would see the love of Christ and be drawn to His kingdom as we love our neighbors. Towards these ends, we have established and maintain several relationships with independent organizations in Lawrence and Indianapolis at large.
Lambswear provides gently-used clothing to families in need.
Horizon has partnered with Lambswear on clothing drives on many occasions and continues to do so.
Embrace Grace
Embrace Grace reaches out with love and support to young pregnant girls who are considering an abortion. Horizon families have been directly affected by this ministry and we are proud to be a partner in packing “Love Boxes”.
Police Chaplaincy
Several Horizon pastors voluntarily serve as chaplains with Lawrence Police, and so are a support to local families in some of the worst moments of their lives.
Not much more can be said about this, but prayer for the pastors who serve in this way is appreciated.
Vacation Bible School 2019
VBS 2019 is June 24-28 in the morning from 9-12:30. Come join us for the Incredible Race from Answers VBS: on your mark, get set, go! We will travel around the globe learning that there is One Family, One Race, & One Savior!
