Resilience Ministry

What is resilience? Resilience is the ability to recover quickly from illness, adverse change or misfortune (i.e. job loss, natural disaster, etc)

The vision of the Resilience Ministry therefore is to establish a fellowship of skills, knowledge and talents within the body at Horizon in order to meet current and future needs of both the body of Christ at Horizon, the community of Lawrence and to equip the saints to serve in the global mission field.

Gal 6:9-10 “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

What skill or talent are you willing to share? What are you wanting to learn?

Perhaps you have experience in logistics/supply chain mangement or maybe you have medical training. Are you a skilled carpenter, electrician or skilled in another trade? Maybe you’re really interested in learning/acquiring these skills. Let’s come together to find out what skills are currently present in our body, so as needs arise, the resilience ministry will know who best to contact and be the best stewards of out God given resources.
