Our Sunday service times are 8:15, 9:30 and 11:15 am.
Our Wednesday service time is 7:00 pm, and we serve dinner at 5:30 pm. However, during the summer we will be meeting together in Home Bible studies. See Home Fellowships for a Bible Study you may wish to join. Wednesday services will start again on Sept 3, 2014.
Horizon Christian Fellowship began over 25 years ago and sits on one of the most beautiful pieces of real estate in Central Indiana with 98 acres of woods. Our vision is to WIN a person to Jesus Christ, DISCIPLE a person in Jesus Christ and SEND a person for Jesus Christ.
What Does A Service Look Like?
Pastor Bill Goodrich believes in reading God’s Word and making it a focal point of his messages. Please bring your Bible because we encourage you to take notes in it as you follow along during service. If you don’t have a Bible, we will provide one for you.
Our worship music is contemporary Christian with guitars, drums and other fun uplifting instruments and is always about Jesus. God has blessed us with talented musicians who love Jesus and serve His church through a blend of original music, contemporary worship songs, and classic hymns. Our music is part of the way in which we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word and to respond to that word. The atmosphere is casual, reflective, and open to all.
Bill has been serving God at Horizon for over 25 years. He will probably meet you at the door as he likes to open the door for people and greet the congregation as they enter the building. That’s his style.
What should I wear?
On an average Sunday you’ll see people in shorts & t-shirts and people in suits & ties! Come as you are.
Engaging Children and Teaching Them Jesus
Each Sunday, your child will learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus according to how old they are during the 9:30 and 11:15 am services. The lessons are taught through AWANA on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm, which is amazing curriculum that helps children grow in their faith. Our committed volunteers and staff will serve you and your kids. We equip parents with resources to train their children in the gospel through materials that we distribute. Our goal is to get them excited about Jesus and to create faith discussions at home throughout the week.
When you walk in the door, you’ll see signage directing you to the Kids check-in area. Or you can ask one of the many volunteers serving to direct you. At the check-in area, you’ll be greeted by a volunteer or staff member who will help you register your children on our church software. You’ll be handed information that indicates what classroom your child will go into.
If you like coffee, we make the best coffee in town in our Fellowship Hall. Jared will brew some Brickhouse Coffee up for you!
We are glad that you are joining us or thinking of joining us. We would love to host you at one of our service times. Along with a gift from us here at Horizon.
